Fifty patriotic, peace advocates attended the special Memorial Day weekend rememberance vigil at 52nd Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada today.
One hundred crosses were placed in the lawn to remind us and passing motorists of the high human cost of war ... and the current U.S. occupation of Iraq in particular.
The honking of car horns in support of the vigil was at times nearly deafening. It is indeed time to end U.S. military involvement in Iraq and bring our troops home.
The vigil today was extended an extra hour, running from noon until 2:00 P.M.
Please feel free to join us every Saturday from noon till 1:00 P.M. for our regular weekly vigil to promote peace.
