Approximately eighty people attended the third anniversary of the Colorado Citizens for Peace weekly peace vigil held Saturday, February 23, 2008, in Arvada.
Peace banners and anti-war signs drew a constant chorus of supportive horn honks from passing motorists.
After the regular vigil held at the corner of West 52nd Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard, attendees readjourned at the home of Kathy and Radon Tolman in Wheat Ridge for refreshments and speeches from invited guests.
A great thanks is given to the dedication and commitment of Cindy Lowry for her ongoing voluntary efforts working to keep this weekly vigil operating for the cause of peace.
While enjoying one another's company at this commemoration event, the fervent hope is that the U.S. military occupation of Iraq will soon end ... so that there will not be a fourth such anniversary.
